biographydawn “wapikwanis” greyeyes is a nehiyaw iskwew who was born in the canadian plains, she was raised on her home reservation until her mom married her long time boyfriend. they moved to la push, washington shortly after the wedding. dawn was upset about leaving her comfort zone, her mom reassured her that living in la push won't be much different from living on their home reserve. she was lucky to be able to start school at the top of the new school year, she mostly kept to herself as she was considered an outsider.dawn graduated from la push tribal school in 2009 with honors. she planned to go back to canada to study and develop her life, but her mom begged her to stay with her in la push as she was her only support system aside from her husband. after the constant begging, she finally agreed to stay in washington and study computer science at the university of washington.her stepdad had a fairly ok relationship with dawn, her biological father left before she was born and never attempted any relationship or contact with her. she called her stepdad by his name as that’s what they were both comfortable with. he often told her stories about his people, how they descended from wolves and their interactions with the cold ones. she thought it was all tall tales, a kid fairytale at best.faceclaim: devery jacobs

twilightwhile she is considered an outsider to most people in la push, she is acquainted with jacob black, embry call, quil ateara and seth clearwater. she would hang out with them on occasion, enjoying their company and helped ease the lonely feelings she developed moving to la push. jacob would often ask her questions about girls and how to impress them, she didn’t know how to answer as she wasn’t entirely sure herself. dawn became devastated when they suddenly pulled away one by one, she didn’t understand why they became so distant and secretive, this being one of the reasons she planned to go back to canada.*notes i do want to plot this out further with both canon and oc characters! dawn does eventually become aware of the vampires and werewolves, but i want someone to be apart of that realization. i’m personally not against the imprinting aspect but i know it makes some people uncomfortable.

the hunger gamesdawn is from district 12, she is the same age as katniss everdeen. she is raised in the seam and often sews clothing for people in return for some food. dawn was lucky to not be reaped, but it never failed to devastate her when someone from the seam was called. she was acquainted with katniss and to an extent, gale hawthorne. dawn sewed katniss’ family clothes for the return of goat cheese and the occasional game.when the bombing of her district began, she became separated from her mom as they ran in different directions. gale pushed her towards the woods, barely making it out alive. once arrived in district 13, she searched and searched for her mom but eventually coming to terms with the worst.
